Terms of use
Membership and nominations
A Free Subscriber account is free. Nominations are reviewed by GFH, which makes the final decision on the fruit category. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee approval.
Administration fee
A completed nomination carries a one-off administration fee of £1 including VAT. This is not a recurring membership subscription. Payment follows the required declarations and comes before GFH review. A rejected paid nomination receives a full refund, processed manually by GFH. After approval the administration fee is non-refundable.
Read the nomination and publication terms
All participants must be 18 or over. You confirm that the information is true and that you have permission to provide any photograph. GFH decides the final fruit category and whether to approve a nomination.
For a living nominee (Category A), the nominee must review and sign their own section, including self-nominations. A resting or deceased nominee (Category R) does not receive an invitation.
After the required details are complete, the nominator pays £1 including VAT, before GFH reviews the nomination. A rejected paid nomination receives a full refund, processed manually by GFH. After approval the administration fee is non-refundable.
Approval publishes a Fellow profile, awards a Gold Certificate and makes the story available to Fellows. Public visitors receive a limited preview; Free Subscribers see photos, names and fruit qualities. Nominator attribution appears with the recognition. GFH may use the approved testimony and image to celebrate the recognition.
You can request profile or media removal through the website. GFH may remove false information or content inconsistent with its values. Copies already shared by other people may not be fully recoverable. See the privacy notice and terms of use.
Nominator Terms and Conditions (the person making the nomination)
By submitting the completed and signed Nomination Form, with any images or photos attached, I confirm that I have read and understood these terms, and I agree that Good Fruit Heritage CIC:
- May publish my full name and city on its website, on social media, and in marketing, publications and storytelling events, in line with the name visibility settings I choose on my profile.
- May use all or part of my testimony, comments and testimonial on its website, on social media, and in marketing, publications and storytelling events.
- May delete the Fellow of the Tree profile, with its testimony, certificate and other information, if Good Fruit Heritage CIC finds that the testimony is untrue or does not fit its biblical values, or if the Fellow asks to be removed from the Tree. The administration fee is not refunded in these cases (see point 7).
- Cannot guarantee that images or photos can be removed once they have been published. Material shared on social media, in marketing, publications or newsletters, or at storytelling events, may remain on other websites or platforms that Good Fruit Heritage CIC does not control. Good Fruit Heritage CIC will do its best to remove such material where possible, including when the Nominator or the Fellow asks.
- As a Christian faith-based organisation, may refuse any nomination for a deed that does not fit its biblical values. If a nomination or testimony is rejected at the approval stage, the administration fee will be refunded in full.
- As a not-for-profit community interest company, charges a one-time administration fee of £1 including VAT for each nomination, to cover the archive process. I, the Nominator, pay this fee online.
- Will not refund the administration fee once the nomination has been approved and the Fellow of the Tree profile has been created, even if the nomination or the profile is later removed.
